STEM-A Mission

To facilitate growth and education in (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through Art. STEM-A is a philosophy and pedagogy style which implements the latest exploration of STEM education by creating a space for students to explore and experiment in real-time learning situations.

Students circuit bending toys found at thrift stores in "The art of Science" class at Science Discovery. A combination of Citrus and Circuits and Circuit Bending for a week of summer fun.

Summer Reading Program

Visual Narratives on the Water Cycle: Digital Photography Workshop for Children

Week 1:Children will explore the water cycle through books and videos. They will be introduced to digitial photography basics, culminating in time along Boulder Creek to take picture. They will keep the camera during the week, taking additional pictures to bring back for week number two.

Week 2: Children will look at the pictures that have been taken by the group and will collaborate to create a visual narrative with themes related to the human relationship with water the water cycle.

These visual narratives will be on display on the Bridge Pulse Point.
